Covington put in an outstanding performance at the Triad Jr. High Invitational, despite having just six wrestlers compete at the event. The Buccs finished in 8th place out of 17 teams and came away with two tournament champions and two more 3rd place finishers.
Brady Feight (122 lbs.) and Blake Lucas (128) led the way for the Buccs with first place finishes. Feight finished 4-0 with 3 pins while Lucas finished 3-0 with 3 pins.
Dalton Brown (116) and Corbin Robinson (205) both finished in 3rd place at the event. Brown went 4-1 with 3 pins while Robinson went 5-1 with 5 pins on the day.
